Treasures....

This morning I went with my dad to another meeting in Small Town of "older people". We attended one not too long ago talking about the town, and today the subject was "one-room schoolhouses". My dad was a townskid so he attended the public school in town, but most the others there attended the old one-room schoolhouses in the country. It was all very interesting and I think my dad is always the youngest one there of the older ones....he's 70 years old. Of course they always get off subject and start talking about other buildings, people, jobs, ect. of long ago. The building we were all in has a ton of history. One thing interesting was that back in the slave days, runaway slaves used to hide in the basement. I've never been down there, but there's a secret place down there that they hid in.


Tonight I'm going on a Treasure Hunt. I have 2 other people on my team and it's going to be like the show "Treausre Hunters". Everyone gets a clipboard, flashlight, and a clue. If we win tonight, we get to go back for the finale. The grand prize is $2500. I need the money and if someone is willing to give away $2500 for running around in the dark, it might as well be me that gets it.

Matthew 6:19-21 Don't store up treasures here on earth, where they can be eaten by moths and get rusty, and were thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where they will never become moth-eaten or rusty and where they will be safe from thieves. Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will also be.
